Presentations

Arthur Nacht made presentations at the two most recent annual conferences of Theatre Communications Group, the association of the professional nonprofit theatre. His 2009 presentation in Baltimore, entitled "What Managing Directors Need to Know," described a major nonprofit theatre's metrics of success and the thinking behind their selection. His 2010 presentation in Chicago, entitled "Taking Arms Against a Sea of Troubles," was a response to London, Pesner and Voss's recently published book "Outrageous Fortune," which described the economic plight of contemporary American playwrights. Arthur advocated aggressive investment in fundraising as the best means for achieving better financial results in general and higher salaries for playwrights and all other theatre artists in particular.
